Influenced by ’60s psychedelic garage punk and Peruvian cumbia, Bruno has spent the last two decades shaping his own mutation of tropical music....

[Alt Jazz] comes in strong with another instalment, this time announcing Grammy Award-winning artist Bilal, coming to Control on July 7, in partnership with Black Rhino Radio.  Bilal is one of the voices that define the blend of jazz, hip-hop and neo-soul. More than twenty years into his storied career, the singer, songwriter and producer born Bilal Sayeed Oliver—who, after decades of accolades and A-list collaborations with likes of Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Erykah Badu, Clipse, and so many more—is as locked in as ever....

The Veils return to Control in full force, full band, on Friday, November 6. Imarhan have always ripped up the rulebook, and they’re coming to enforce this on Saturday, November 7, in Control. Since 2006, the band has challenged preconceptions about the Tuareg desert blues sound known as assouf, popularised by the likes of Tinariwen and Mdou Moctar, by blending its ancient poetry and rhythms with funk, psych-rock and pan-African rhythms....
